Rev. Mike Grant
Dear Members and Friends of the Louisville Christ UMC,
I am both excited and humbled to be chosen by Bishop Malone to be your Pastor as of July 1, 2021. I have a had a chance to be in your church and to experience your hospitality many times over the years. Louisville Christ has always been a wonderful example of grace and I look forward to working beside you and learning from you in the future. I know that you have a history of wonderful church leadership under pastors like Dr. Hinkle and Dr. Beck. They have blessed your church and have served as Christ-like examples and leaders in the conference. It is my prayer that our time together will also be a blessing and be used by Christ to further His Kingdom and to touch lives in the Louisville community and beyond.
My wife Holly and I have been married for 26 years. We met during my final semester at Asbury Theological Seminary, and during her only semester as an exchange student at Asbury College. We do not have any children, but we do have an English Springer Spaniel named Winston. I am a graduate of Perry High School in Lake County, Otterbein College, and Asbury Theological Seminary. Holly is a graduate of East Corning High School, Houghton College, and The Cleveland Marshall School of Law. Holly is an Attorney, licensed to practice in the State of Ohio.
Mission work has been an important part of our ministry. We have been on trips in the US, Africa, Cuba, and the Dominican Republic. We have both served at the District and Conference level and have represented East Ohio to General or Jurisdictional Conferences. Holly has been elected to General Conference 4 times and will serve again this Fall in Minneapolis. I have had the privilege to be the Dean of Senior High CYF Camp, the Chair of the East Ohio Evangelical Fellowship, and I am an active member of the East Ohio Wesleyan Covenant Association. Holly has a heart for ministry to women, children, and those dealing with grief. She has a deep love of Christ and a heart for people, especially those who are hurting.
