And you church are His light, shining bright to displace darkness! Today marks the day we receive the least amount of sunlight. How appropriate that the days will grow longer, lighter for the next 6 months. What a great reminder of Paul’s encouragement that we are light in this present darkness… “You shine like stars in the universe, as you hold out the word of life.”
During Advent, (which is placed smack dab in the season of diminished light and dormant life), we are to the world the pure reflection of Christ! The beautiful colors of Christmas, the reds, blues, greens and whites radiate a message of love, hope, eternal life and purity found in Christ.
This Sunday, Christmas Eve, we will assemble at 9 am and 7 pm to praise our awesome God. We will rejoice in the songs of Christmas, will worship and pray, be edified in faith, receive and respond to His Word. In the morning I am excited to share a Word God has stirred in my heart from Philippians, “White the Color of Purity!”
Sunday night at the Christmas Eve Service we will celebrate with candlelight, music and experience together all the wonders of that Holy night.
See you in church this Sunday!
