At Vacation Bible School your child will learn, laugh, sing, and snack while learning Bible Stories while having FUN!
On May 15th, we will have Music Ministry Sunday during the Worship time. We are expecting to hear from the Chancel Choir, Kids Praise Choir, Gosbells Bell Choir, and the Revelations Bell Choir, as well as having the chance to sing songs as a Congregation. Please plan to worship with us and make a joyful noise unto the Lord.
Christmas Eve December 24th at 7 PM The church will be having a Christmas Eve service at 7:00 PM on December 24th. The service will include special music, a Christmas message, and will end with each person holding their light as we sing Silent Night. Please plan to come and bring your family and friends for this most holy of nights as we celebrate together Jesus' birth.
All Church Christmas Caroling December 5th at 3:00 PM I know the church has a tradition of Christmas Caroling to Nursing Homes or to shut-ins. It is my understanding that this has been done at times by Sunday school classes and also by the choir. I would like to condense all of this and make it a whole church event on the afternoon of December 5th at 3 PM. We would meet at the church together and either all go out together (if we are a smaller group) or split into groups so we can share the love of Christ with more folks. It is my hope that we can return to the church for soup or pizza as we continue our celebration around the table. You do not have to be a singer to make a joyful noise and this is truly a gift that touches the heart of our indoor friends. There is a sign-up sheet in the Narthex to help with planning for snacks, drinks, and planning the destinations. Thank you,Rev. Grant
Christ Works! I pray that you are having a wonderful Constitution Week and I am so thankful for all those who helped with the Mayor’s Prayer breakfast. Our cooks provided a great meal and one of our own, Pastor Carolyn, helped to lead us in prayer. It was an excellent start to an important week for this community. This week we will be continuing in the series, Living God’s Way and we will be looking at the Sabbath. The Sabbath is a day set aside for rest and recharging our physical, mental, and spiritual batteries. It is a gift from God to his creation. When we don’t take a time of rest for our mind and body, we pay a price in our mental and physical health. When we don’t set aside a time to worship and be with our faith family, we pay a price in our spiritual health. We will be looking at the Sabbath and how it was created for us to bless us. I pray you can be with us this Sunday as we worship, fellowship, and rest in presence of God. May God richly bless your week and I hope to see you in church. Blessings! Rev. Mike
Christ Works! I hope you had a very blessed Labor Day weekend. Long before there was a Big Ten Conference (which now has 14 teams, I will never get that), God gave us the Big Ten Commandments. These were rules God gave directly to Moses on the Mountain. They were literally written in stone for us to learn and follow. They are commands on how we are to honor God, honor the Sabbath, and live together in community. For the next month, I will be preaching a series called Living God’s Way. We will kick off this series this week as we look at honoring God. We will also take a little time to pray for our nation as we remember the 20th anniversary of 9-11. I pray you can be with us this Sunday either in person or in the Parking lot 4 Praise as we worship, fellowship, and grow together in our knowledge and love of God. May God richly bless your week and I hope to see you in church. Blessings! Rev. Mike
