Larry Hinkle

Seinior Pastor

Pastor Larry has served as senior pastor at Louisville Christ Church since 2002. Hewas ordained in the East Ohio Conference and joyfully embraces God’s assignment to minister with the faithful people of Christ Church Louisville.
Pastor Larry married Cathy, the love of his life, in 1981. Cathy partners in many ministry activities within the church and also serves as a speech pathologist in the Champion school system. Together they are parents of three daughters, Abby, Juliana, and Lacie, and three grandsons, Eric, Michael, and Henry.

Karen Nieschwitz

Director of Visitation

After 30 years driving school bus, Karen knew she couldn’t just sit around. She loves people and loves God. So when Karen was offered a position to serve both, she felt she had her mission in life. Karen began her ministry here at Christ Church Louisville in June 2007 and it has proved to be very rewarding. She has two married daughters, two grandsons and two granddaughters.

Wendy Thomas

Director of Children’s Ministries

Wendy Thomasserves Christ UMC asDirector of Children’sand Connectional Ministries. She is passionate about children and their walk with God and has served in children’s ministries at Christ Church since 2006. Wendy describes hergreatest contribution to the world as her three daughters Taylor, Madison, and Regan.

Youth Pastor

Youth Pastor Lee Nicholson serves Christ Church with an extroverted personality,strong credentials and many years experience in youth ministry. He has a passion for relational evangelism and discipleship. Lee has achieved a level of first degree black belt in Soo Bahk Do Karate. His calling in ministry has equipped him to mentor young people to become strong leaders in the church. His wife Dr. Sue is employed as professor of Biblical Studies at Malone University. The Nicholson family live in Plain Twp. Conner age 17, loves studying history. Alex, 15, plays cello both at Glen Oak High School and Canton Youth Symphony.and also loves to read. They all look forward to greeting you in church.

Cheri Miller

Office Manager

Cheri is the CUMC staff office manager/secretary. Cheri enjoys keeping the church calendar, making the weekly bulletins and the monthly Church Window newsletter along with assisting the staff and congregation with any secretarial needs. Cheri is married to Dan Miller and they have three awesome children Krystle, William, Taylor and two grandchildren Adrianna and Gaven. Cheri enjoys walking the family dogs Checkers and Lucky, the outdoors and gardening.

Denise Huthmacher is a musician who started her handbell and choir career at Christ United Methodist Church when she was in elementary school. She has been a member of the Louisville High School’s band and choir. Denise was also a member of Malone University’s concert and marching band while she studied English. She is excited to share her love of the art with the children and adults of the church.
