I pray that you are having a wonderful Constitution Week and I am so thankful for all those who helped with the Mayor’s Prayer breakfast. Our cooks provided a great meal and one of our own, Pastor Carolyn, helped to lead us in prayer. It was an excellent start to an important week for this community. This week we will be continuing in the series, Living God’s Way and we will be looking at the Sabbath.
The Sabbath is a day set aside for rest and recharging our physical, mental, and spiritual batteries. It is a gift from God to his creation. When we don’t take a time of rest for our mind and body, we pay a price in our mental and physical health. When we don’t set aside a time to worship and be with our faith family, we pay a price in our spiritual health. We will be looking at the Sabbath and how it was created for us to bless us. I pray you can be with us this Sunday as we worship, fellowship, and rest in presence of God. May God richly bless your week and I hope to see you in church.
Blessings! Rev. Mike
