STORM Mission Coming to OHIO
Louisville Christ United Methodist Church is bringing the STORM Mission to Ohio. STORM stands for “Service To Others in Relational Mission.” The STORM Mission began 26 years ago in Minnesota. CUMC Youth Pastor, Lee Nicholson, and members of the Louisville Christ United Methodist Church have travelled to do youth mission trips in various cities of Minnesota for 3 years. For the first time, Christ United Methodist Church will be hosting the STORM Camp in Ohio during the week of July 16th– 21st. 22 youth, 12 adult leaders and many volunteers are attending the STORM Camp and will rely on the basis that they are serving Jesus by serving others through work, worship, and discipleship.
The STORM Camp goal is, through work and worship, that campers will experience spiritual growth and gain leadership skills while building relationships with surrounding communities. There will be a variety of projects that include yard work, painting houses, building decks, building ramps, building sheds, indoor and outdoor demolition jobs, etc. These services will be offered at no charge.
Sunday July 16- Friday July 21, WORSHIP will be happening at Christ UMC and we are excited! Love Like Violence Worship Band will lead us with our voices and Pastor Lee Nicholson will give the message every evening at 7:30 P.M. Thursday evening, July 20 a special meal is planned at 6:00 P.M. in the church Fellowship Hall. Please invite your family, friends and neighbors. The meal is free and open to the public.
